In the past few years, Trinity had directly supported, both financially and through volunteers, the building of Habitat Houses. We finished work on a UCC/Disciples of Christ ecumenical house in April 2006.

Breakfast at Trinity

Each weekday, Trinity serves a free hot breakfast in our Fellowship Hall. Open to anyone in the Wooster community, the menu features a weekly schedule of of eggs, toast, pancakes, bacon, cold cereal, donuts and other goodies. On an average morning, we serve approximately 70 guests. The Breakfast Program is operated by a dedicated staff of volunteers. contact the Church Office if you are interested in contributing your talents to this growing program.

Esperanza Mission Trip

Each January/February, Trinity hosts a mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico to assist in a house construction project. In 2006 thirty-six hardworking people, including 18 TUCC members, labored together to help create a home for an impoverished family. We are currently in the planning stages for the 2008 Mission Trip. Here is some helpful info from the UCC website:

According to ucc.org, disaster recovery work groups may be quite different from other kinds of mission trips. Work projects for any particular week may not be known ahead of time. Flexibility and patience are key for the success of your experience.

As of January 2007, the United Church of Christ has received $6,034,697 to address the needs of people impacted by the 2005 hurricanes. The funds received will allow a UCC presence on the Gulf Coast for the long-term recovery offering hope for thousands of people.  Disaster recovery work groups help with the rebuilding and repairing of homes for persons identified with "un-met" needs.
